Don’t worry what other people think about your music and don’t ask for their opinion. If you are happy that is all that matters. It doesn’t matter if it sounds like Mozart, Berg, or whomever. Don’t follow what other people are doing. Write music that you are happy with. Make yourself happy. Sounds selfish, I know.

Yes!! It's fun!!
Well....you can use your name. That's what I did in the video above. You assign a musical note to a letter. It's called a musical cryptogram and has been used for years by composer including Mr. J.S. Bach. Here is what I did....
For the letters A-G I used the musical notes, A-G. After that I went up the chromatic scale to finish out the rest of the alphabet. So for my name it would look like this...
From those notes I created this piece. Here is my rough draft written in pencil...
